Accounts Assistant

An opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant with good knowledge of Sage 200, to join a well established and growing business based at Whiteley, Fareham.

Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase ledger invoices, raise payments and reconcile supplier accounts
  • Process sales ledger invoices, allocate payments and reconcile customer accounts
  • Carry out credit control for customer accounts
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Assist in preparing general accounts to trial balance
  • Support the preparation of VAT returns
  • Perform general filing and admin support duties daily
  • Handle queries from clients and suppliers regarding payments and invoicing ensuring clear and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of accounts up to trial balance
  • Understanding of VAT processes
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Competent with Excel spreadsheets and Sage 200

Monday to Thursday 9.00am – 5.00pm and 9.00am – 4.00pm on a Friday
