Experienced Foundry Operative

An opportunity for an experienced Foundry Operative to join this exciting company working within sustainability.

You will be running the casting area within the factory, primarily loading aluminium ingots into a gas or an electric tipping furnace. Large preheated moulds are presented to the foundry area where the aluminium is poured directly to them. As a growing start up you will be key to the manufacturing process and could be involved in a range of activities beyond the foundry to help with the initial surge in manufacturing demand.

Main Duties

• Loading and Operating foundry plant ( 2 tipping furnaces)
• Following and developing foundry procedures
• Foundry maintenance and repair work ( replacing crucibles)
• Integration of the foundry into the manufacturing process
• Assembly of sub assemblies and moulds ready for casting if required
• Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Operating power tools, hand tools and general fabrication equipment

You will need to be an EXPERIENCED Foundry Operative who is keen to develop their career in an exciting environment.
