An incredible environment for an incredible stores person

The role would suit candidates who have proven experience within a store or warehouse facility in a high end engineering or manufacturing environment.

You are involved in the day-to-day running of the stores, inventory control, improving accuracy and overall efficiency.

Knowledge of Goods In/Dispatch along with ERP systems and Microsoft Office and the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions to solve day to day problems that arise.

you will deal with goods such as drills, taps, nuts, bolts, pumps as well as high value specialist parts on a daily basis so some understanding of these sorts of parts would be a real benefit.

The Stores Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient and accurate operations. this is a real team environment so the ability to communicate effectively with production is a must.

You will be self-motivated, have good verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to act upon your own initiative.

Role & Responsibilities

· Support the store’s manager in daily tasks and stores operations.

· Deal with couriers and deliveries

· Operate forklifts to safely move materials and products within the facility

· Checking goods in and delivery notes and purchase orders ensuring goods received are correct and recorded on Sage 200 system

· Update the Bill of Materials when goods are received so the production team are aware

· Inspect incoming stock and challenge suppliers for incorrect deliveries or missing items, handling exchanges if required

· Day to day Over-counter service including consumables & boat parts from boat shelves issuing materials to production on Sage 200 and allocating goods out of stock to correct projects when booked out

· Working with the After Sales team to prepare orders for dispatch and ensure accurate documentation

· Proactively conducting stock checks both ad hoc and annually and investigating any discrepancies

· Re-stocking store’s locations

· Keeping stores area clean & tidy

· Driving of company van for delivery of goods as required

· Acting Stores Manager in the absence of the Stores Manager taking accountability for all stock and processes and organising the tasks of the support staff

· Ad hoc duties to support the wider production team

Required Experience & Skills

· Full clean driving license

· Valid forklift experience

· Stores experience in a fast-paced high quality manufacturing environment

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods

· Exceptional communication skills with the ability to professionally challenge suppliers

· Ability to act upon own initiative.

· Methodical and organised

· Proficient in Excel

Experience using an ERP system. Sage 200 would advantageous but not essential as would some understanding or interest in Marine products

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
